Business Advisory Services
Rural business planning and advice
The business planning process enables clients to identify and evaluate business opportunities, and develop sound strategies to pursue them whilst managing any weaknesses. Business planning provides a solid framework for decision making.
Most of our consultants are based in rural locations and have the advantage of local knowledge and experience that may prove invaluable in developing tailored solutions to client issues.
Cash flow and profit projections are central to any planning process, so it is common for us to devote significant resources to these components of the plan. Alternative scenarios and sensitivity to key variables can then be compared and analysed.
Our business plans can be tailored to meet your individual needs or those of third parties, such as your bank or business partners.
Finance structuring and negotiation
Our agri-finance services are ideal for clients requiring a general review of the cost and suitability of their financing arrangements. It is also suitable for those requiring additional finance facilities for property purchase or capital expenditure programmes.
The service provides clients with a dedicated finance specialist with many years banking experience that can provide independent and qualified advice. We are a fully accredited member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA). The MFAA is Australia’s main industry body for the mortgage and finance industries. Its members work hard to provide the best possible service and ethical standards.
In order to maintain our independence when advising on different lending products, all services are offered on a ‘fee for service’ basis (that is, they are not commission based). Any upfront commissions we receive from lenders are rebated directly to the client.
Rural business training programs
Devine Agribusiness has developed several training programmes relevant to rural business management. Many of these can often be fully or partially funded through training assistance schemes such as Farm Ready. We deliver industry training courses on a number of topics including:

Preparing for and managing family succession
It is well known that implementing generational transfer can be particularly challenging for rural businesses. Succession planning requires careful attention to many different aspects of the business, including finance, taxation, cash flow and profitability. With significant expertise across a wide range of disciplines, our team is well placed to assist you in the development and implementation of your succession plan.
We can either work closely with your chosen accountants and solicitors, or, where required, refer you to specialists in these fields.
